pique
Pique for portrait photographers

Client photo selection without a second image library.

Portrait clients often need to choose a fixed number of images before retouching. Pique turns the Dropbox proofs you already exported into a private, mobile-friendly selection gallery and enforces the agreed pick count.

A clean path from contact sheet to retouch list

Export watermarked or colour-corrected JPEG proofs into a dedicated Dropbox folder. Create the Pique gallery with an exact or maximum selection count, send one private link, then copy the submitted filenames back into Lightroom.

The client sees photographs rather than a folder-management interface. You receive filenames rather than screenshots, image numbers transcribed into email or a trail of revised messages.

Useful for fixed-image packages

Exact-count rules suit packages that include a defined number of final retouches. Maximum-count rules suit clients who can choose up to an allowance without being forced to use all of it. Leave the rule open when the brief is exploratory.

  • Headshot and actor portfolio sessions
  • Family and personal branding shoots
  • Graduation and senior portraits
  • Editorial portrait selects
  • Model and agency test shoots

What your client experiences

The gallery works in a mobile browser and saves a draft as the client chooses. On Pro, per-image comments save while they type and are clearly labelled as visible to the photographer before submission. The counter makes package limits visible. Submission creates a clear handoff; closing the gallery ends further selection.

Questions, answered

Common questions.

Can I require exactly five portrait choices?+

Yes. Set the gallery to exact selection mode with a count of five; submission is blocked until exactly five images are selected.

Can clients return before submitting?+

Yes. Open galleries save draft picks so the client can leave and return using the same private link.

Can I add my own branding?+

Yes. Pro adds your studio or photographer name, logo, accessible accent colour and a cover image for each gallery. It can also hide the Pique footer.
